CoLab was born out of two years of global research into emerging models in higher education. We worked alongside Pearson Lloyd to understand how shifting learning styles, digital transformation, and generational change were reshaping both education and the workplace. The findings revealed a growing need for adaptable, collaborative environments that support a more fluid, connected approach to learning and working.
With this insight, the design team developed CoLab - a versatile, modular furniture system built to respond to real-life use.
Every detail was shaped by the idea of flexibility: integrated power runs through a central spine, freeing layouts from floor boxes; multi-posture seating encourages movement and energy; and each component was designed for disassembly, repair, and recycling. The result is a system that brings agility, wellbeing, and sustainability together in one unified design.
CoLab doesn’t just respond to change - it enables it. By creating space for interaction, creativity and adaptability, CoLab supports new ways of learning and working.

From the first sketch to the final product, CoLab has been built to last. It combines the durability needed for everyday use with a warm and tactile feel of hospitality furniture - bridging the gap between institutional function and human-centric design.
